Superelastic nickel-titanium alloy dental arch wire has excellent elasticity. It relies on resisting external compressive stress to provide a long-lasting and stable correction force value for the tooth correction process, and quickly achieves the effect of alignment and leveling. Round wire has good elasticity and low friction with the bracket groove, which is beneficial to the healthy movement of teeth. Round wire is used in the early stage of orthodontic correction to align the teeth; square wire is used in the middle and late stages of correction to control the direction of tooth movement. The square wire interacts with the gap in the bracket groove in the self-ligating bracket groove to release force.
